FRIED OKRA 
4 c. sliced okra
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. cornmeal
Vegetable oil

Combine okra, milk, salt and pepper in a shallow dish; let stand 1 hour or until most of milk is absorbed.

Dredge okra in cornmeal. Fry okra in deep hot oil 375 degrees until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Transfer okra to a serving platter and serve immediately. 4 servings.
