TOMATO NOODLE CASSEROLE | |
3 tbsp. olive oil 1 lb. ground beef 2 onions, sliced 1 clove garlic, minced 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1 c. water 1/2 tbsp. paprika 1 tbsp. salt 1 bay leaf 1/8 tsp. thyme 1/8 tsp. marjoram 1 tsp. Worcestershire 1/2 tsp. Tabasco 12 oz. uncooked noodles Heat oil in heavy skillet. Brown meat with onions and garlic. Add tomatoes, tomato paste and water. Bring to a boil; add paprika, salt, bay leaf, thyme, marjoram, Worcestershire and Tabasco. Pour 1/2 of sauce into 3 quart casserole dish, add noodles, then remaining sauce. Cover and bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. |
