SWEET AND SOUR PORK STEAKS 
1 1/2 lb. pork steak or shoulder
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 (#2) can (2 1/2 c.) pineapple chunks
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. vinegar
3/4 c. green pepper, chopped
1/4 c. thinly sliced onion

Brown meat in 2 tablespoons oil. Add 1/4 cup water. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Drain pineapple; reserve syrup.

Combine sugar, cornstarch and pineapple juice, vinegar, soy sauce and salt. Cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly. Combine meat and sauce and let stand 10 minutes. Add green pepper, onion and pineapple. Cook a little longer. Serve over rice. Serves 4 to 6.
