SAUCE FOR POTATOES AND
VEGETABLES
 
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 tbsp. olive oil
2 1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel
1/4 c. chopped parsley or dill
2 tbsp. chives or scallions
1/4 tsp. flour
1/4 tsp. each salt and pepper
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice

Melt butter in small saucepan. Add remaining ingredients, except lemon juice. Simmer over low heat until bubbly and flavors mingle; about 5 minutes.

Add lemon juice just before serving over small new red potatoes.
