BAKED SWEET POTATOES AND APPLES 
4 large yams or 1 large can already cooked yams
4 large green apples, sliced
1/3 c. pure maple syrup
1/4 c. Brummell and Brown spread, melted
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. chopped pecans (optional)

If using fresh yams, peel and slice to 1/8-inch thickness. Layer bottom of large casserole dish with a third of the sweet potatoes. Add layer of green apples on top of sweet potatoes. Drizzle maple syrup and spread on top of apples. Sprinkle the brown sugar. Repeat to make 3 layers. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top if desired.

Bake covered at 350°F for 1 hour.

Serves 4 to 6 people.
