QUICK AND EASY APPLE KUCHEN 
1/2 c. soft butter
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. flaked coconut
20 oz. can pie apples, drained or 2 1/2 c. fresh pared baking apples; do not use canned "pie filling"
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sour cream
2 egg yolks or 1 egg

Cut batter into cake mix until crumbly. Add coconut. Pat mixture lightly into ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan, building edges up slightly. Bake 10 minutes. Arrange apples on crust. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Mix egg yolks (or egg) and sour cream. Drizzle over apples. Bake 25 minutes until edges are lightly brown at 350 degrees. Serve warm.
