MEAL IN A BOWL 
1 lb. ground chuck
3 tbsp. butter
1-2 1/2 c. can tomatoes
2 med. carrots, sliced
1 med. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/2 c. diced celery
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 1/2 c. hot water
2 c. diced potatoes

Brown meat in butter in a heavy 3 quart pan. Add all remaining ingredients but potatoes. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add potatoes and simmer 1/2 hour longer. Serve in warmed bowls. Garnish with hot buttered oyster crackers. To prepare crackers, melt butter in skillet and lightly brown crackers. Stir constantly to prevent scorching.
