RED CABBAGE AND APPLES 
1 med. head of red cabbage
2 red cooking apples
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
2/3 c. water

Slice apples with peeling left on and shred cabbage. Combine all ingredients except flour in a large frying pan. Add water - cook stirring occasionally over medium heat - until crisp but tender. Sprinkle flour over cabbage - cook until thick.
