HAWAIIAN SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE 
2 lg. Hawaiian sweet potatoes, peeled & sliced 1/4" thick
6 tbsp. water
4 bananas, sliced
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar

Place potatoes and water in glass casserole dish. Cook 5 minutes in microwave oven. Stir. Cook 5 more minutes. Add sliced bananas. Dot with butter and sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover and cook 5 minutes. Allow to stand 5 minutes before serving.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

The recipe sounds wonderful, and I will probably make it soon. The question I have is about the total weight of the sweet potatoes. Being from Michigan I am not familiar with Hawaiian sweet potatoes, so I need to convert "large Hawaiian sweet potatoes into mainland sweet potatoes, by weight. Since an exact amount of water is specified, it seems there should be a specific weight of the potatoes, to allow for the correct absorption of water into the potatoes.
