BARBECUED MEATBALLS | |
1/2 lb. ground pork 1/2 lb. hamburger or ground venison 1 egg, beaten 1/3 c. crushed Saltine crackers 1/3 c. crushed seasoned stuffing Salt & pepper 2 c. catsup 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. diced onion 1/2 c. butter 2 tbsp. mustard 3 tbsp. lemon juice Combine pork, hamburger, egg, crackers, stuffing, salt and pepper. Shape into 1 inch balls. Brown on all sides, pour off excess grease. Combine catsup, sugar, onion, butter, mustard and lemon juice. Heat in saucepan until boiling. Place meatballs in roasting pan, and pour barbecue sauce over meatballs. Stir occasionally. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Or leave in a slow cooker for 1 hour. |
