NORMANDY TART (FRANCE) 
Line pie plate with 9-inch pie crust. Add 5 apples, peeled and thinly sliced or chopped.

TOPPING:

1 c. blanched almonds, finely chopped
1 c. flour
7 tbsp. butter
1 c. super fine sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix these ingredients until it resembles bread crumbs. Add topping and bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove any bits of topping that have burned or are too dark.
