GRANDMA RUTH'S SWEET DILL
PICKLES
 
Dill weed
Garlic cloves
3 3/4 - 4 c. dark vinegar
6 c. granulated sugar
3 tsp. salt
4 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric
3/4 tsp. mustard seed

Wash cucumbers that are about 3-4 inches long. Split lengthwise. Pour boiling water over cucumbers and let stand until the water is cool.

Put dill weed and 1 garlic clove into each jar. Heat remaining ingredients to boiling. Pack in jars and process for 5 minutes. Makes 12 pints.
