LASAGNA - THE BEST 
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 lb. ground round
1 (14 oz.) jar Ragu spaghetti sauce
1 tsp. oregano
8 strips lasagna noodles
1 container (lg.) cottage cheese
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese

Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until soft; add beef and brown. Drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce and oregano. Simmer covered for 15 minutes. Cook lasagna noodles following directions on package. Place in bowl of cold water until use.

Spread 3 to 4 tablespoons of sauce in bottom of lasagna pan. Cover with 4 noodles. Spoon over 1/2 of remaining sauce. Spread 1/2 of cottage cheese; then 1/2 of Mozzarella cheese. Repeat with 4 more noodles, remaining sauce, cottage cheese and Mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle Parmesan over layers. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
