2 c. cornmeal mix
1 med. onion, chopped
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. flour
4 jalapeno peppers, chopped
1 1/4 c. buttermilk

Mix all ingredients together until you have a smooth batter. Cook in hot oil until it is golden brown on both sides.
