HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
4 lbs. sm. potatoes 1 c. bacon (approx. 8 slices) 1/4 c. chives (fresh or frozen) 3 tsp. flour 8 tsp. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. vinegar 1 c. water 2 tsp. celery seed 1/2 c. finely chopped onion Cook potatoes in jackets 35-40 minutes, add 2 teaspoons salt to water. Peel and cut in 1/4 inch slices. Mix in chives and celery seed. Fry bacon until crisp. Drain and add to potatoes. Add onion to bacon drippings and saute until tender but not brown. |
