BUTTER DIPS 
1/3 c. butter for pan
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Melt butter in pan with sides at least 1/2" high. Put dry ingredients in bowl and add milk. Stir with fork until it just clings together. Turn out on well floured surface. Knead lightly 10 times. Roll into 1/2" thickness and cut in strips. Place close together in rows in pan. Now turn them over to coat with butter. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 450 degrees until golden brown. Serve hot.
