CHOCOLATE TOWN PIE 
9 inch unbaked pastry shell
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla or 2 tbsp. bourbon
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. pecans or walnuts
1 c. whipped topping flavored with 1 tbsp. bourbon

Prepare pastry shell; set aside. Heat oven to 350 degrees. In small mixer bowl cream butter; add eggs and vanilla or bourbon. Combine sugar and flour; add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts; pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until golden. Cool about 1 hour; serve warm. Garnish with flavored whipped topping, if desired. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
