GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE SPECIAL | |
1 c. chopped pecans 1 c. shredded coconut 1 German chocolate cake mix 1 stick butter 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut into pieces 1 lb. pkg. confectioners' sugar Mix pecans and coconut together in the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Prepare cake mix according to box directions and pour over pecan coconut mixture. In a saucepan, heat butter and cream cheese together and mix well; add confectioners' sugar and remove pan from heat. Stir mixture until smooth. Spoon over top of cake mix. Bake in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. DO NOT CUT UNTIL COLD. |
