SWEET AND SOUR PICKLES (WHOLE) | |
50 small cucumbers 2 c. sugar 3 c. vinegar 1 bunch dill 1 c. water 1 tsp. mixed spices per jar Soak cucumbers overnight in 1/3 cup salt to every 1 quart water. MORNING: Drain and dry cucumbers. Boil vinegar, water, and sugar until clear. Add cucumbers and simmer until they lose their glossy green color. Place spices 1 teaspoon per jar and dill in bottom of jar. Add cucumbers, cover with hot syrup and place more dill on top. Seal. |
