OATMEAL BREAD 
4 c. very hot water
2 c. oatmeal
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 cakes yeast (fresh or dry, dissolved in water)
6 c. flour
1 handful wheat germ

Pour water over oatmeal, butter, sugar, salt and stir well. When the mixture cools add yeast, flour and wheat germ. Let rise until doubled in bulk. Knead and separate into loaves. Place in bread pans. Let rise until doubled. Bake at 400 degrees until golden brown. Remove from oven, lightly grease tops of loaves.
