ITALIAN LASAGNA 
1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck or beef
1 clove minced garlic
1 c. chopped onions

Brown all this for 30 minutes and set aside.

1 #2 can tomatoes
2 c. water
1 tsp. pepper
3 (18 oz.) cans tomato paste
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano

Mix together and let simmer. While this is simmering, cook 1 pound lasagna noodles. Drain noodles and rinse in cold water.

16 oz. cottage cheese
1 c. Parmesan cheese
1 lb. grated Mozzarella cheese

Mix meat mixture with the sauce. Layer 1/3 of noodles on the bottom of a 11 x 13 baking dish. Pour 1/3 of meat and sauce mixture over noodles. Dot with 1/3 of cottage cheese. Continue sequence two more times and top with Mozzarella cheese and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Let stand a few minutes before cutting.
