3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. apple butter
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. buttermilk

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Mix well. Sift all dry ingredients together and add alternately with buttermilk. Stir in apple butter. Bake in 9 inch loaf pan 55-65 minutes at 350 degrees. Top with Orange Glaze.
