APPLE DUMPLINGS 
3 c. flour
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. salt

Mix together with approximately 1/2 cup water to form dough. Divide dough into three equal parts. Roll one of these into eight inch circle. Cut this into four equal parts. Peel and slice ten medium size apples. Arrange slices on each section, sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 tablespoon butter and cinnamon to taste. Bring sides of dough up and press together to enclose apples. Repeat this with each section of dough. Place in 15 1/2 x 9 1/2 x 2 1/4 inch baking pan. Set aside.

n saucepan combine:

4 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
Cinnamon to taste

Bring to a boil and cook for one minute. Pour over apple dumplings. Place in preheated oven at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes.
