APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 recipe reg. pie crust

Substitute milk for water as you mix it. Add 1 teaspoon baking powder to crust. Set aside. 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. flour, if necessary 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Mix apples, sugar, flour if necessary and cinnamon. Divide dough into number of dumplings desired. Roll out each ball flat as for pie crust and place desired amount of apple mixture in center. Fold corners of dough together and place in deep pyrex casserole.

Place 1 teaspoon butter on top. Sprinkle each with cinnamon and more sugar. Fill dish until dumplings are covered with boiling water. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 or 70 minutes, depending on how long it takes apple to cook. Serves 6. My maternal grandmother's recipe.
