HUNGARIAN GOULASH 
2 lbs. beef in any proportion
1/4 c. butter
2 sliced onions
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. paprika
4 med. potatoes, diced
1 c. canned stewed tomatoes

Wipe meat with cold, damp cloth. Cut in 1-inch cubes, melt butter in saucepan, add meat and onions. Saute until brown. Add salt, pepper, paprika and tomatoes. Simmer 30 minutes. Add potatoes and more tomatoes or water if necessary. Cook 30 minutes longer. If desired, 1 cup of cream and 1/2 cup of water can be substituted for tomatoes.
