TRUE HUNGARIAN GOULASH 
3 tbsp. butter
6 lg. onions, chopped
4 lb. stew beef
3 tbsp. paprika
1 1/2 tsp. salt

Melt butter; add chopped onion and cook until golden. Add beef, paprika and salt; stir and cover. Do not add liquid. Simmer until beef is tender, about 2 hours.
