HUNGARIAN GOULASH 
2 tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 lbs. beef stew meat or chuck, cut in 3/4 inch pieces
1/2 c. water
8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 tbsp. paprika
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. instant beef bouillon
1 tsp. caraway seed
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 green peppers, cut in 1 inch pieces
1 c. sour cream
Hot cooked noodles

Heat shortening in Dutch oven. Add beef and cook until browned; drain. Add water, tomato sauce, onions, garlic, paprika, salt, bouillon, caraway seed and pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Add green pepper and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in sour cream and heat just until warm. Serve over hot noodles. Makes 6 servings.
