1 c. sugar
1 c. oil
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. + 4 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix ingredients in order (6), add flour, salt and soda and cream of tartar which have been sifted together and then add vanilla. Let stand overnight or at least 4 hours. Roll in balls (walnut size). Press with glass (choose size). Bake in 375 degree oven for 9 to 11 minutes.
