OREO DESSERT 
35 Oreos, crushed
3/4 stick butter, melted or softened
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream
9 oz. Cool Whip
1 bar German sweet chocolate
1/2 stick butter
2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine Oreos with 3/4 stick butter. Press into 9 x 13 pan. Spread ice cream over cookie mixture. Freeze solid. Combine chocolate, sugar, milk, salt and vanilla. Boil for 4 minutes. Cool completely. Spread over ice cream. Spread Cool Whip over all. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, if desired. Freeze.
