HAWAIIAN BEEF AND BEAN CASSEROLE 
1 can (16 oz.) baked beans
1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
3 oz. cream cheese, 1/2" cubes
1/2 c. green pepper, minced
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. Cheddar cheese
1 tsp. MSG (optional)
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
3/4 tsp. salt

In a 2 quart casserole, spoon in 1 can of baked beans. Add a layer of crushed pineapple. Sprinkle cream cheese over top; add a layer of minced green pepper.

In the meantime, saute onions in 1 tablespoon of butter until tender. Add in layer over top of cream cheese and pepper. Layer in casserole. Crumble ground beef in skillet. Sprinkle with ginger and salt; saute until lightly browned.

Drain off excess grease if needed; spoon beef in layer over other ingredients. Sprinkle with MSG. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees. Sprinkle shredded cheese over top. Heat until melted. Garnish and serve.
