BUFFALO WINGS
2 packages chicken wings (allow 8 "fingers" per person or 4 wings).

SAUCE:

2/3 c. Louisiana Sauce (or other hot sauce)
2/3 c. water
1/2 c. honey
Dash of ground clove
Garlic salt to taste
1/2 tsp. arrowroot

Rinse wings and cut off tips. Cut wing into two pieces at "elbow" joint, giving 2 fingers.

In saucepan combine remaining ingredients and simmer 10 minutes. Marinate wings in 1/2 of the sauce 2-4 hours or overnight. Precook marinated wings in microwave 3 minutes at 3/4 power. Baste and put precooked wings under broiler until browned. Serve remaining sauce on side for dipping.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.

They aren't fully cooked in the microwave, just partially cooked. This helps them to stay juicy since they aren't completely cooked under dry heat. If you like crispy wings (as I do) you can skip this step and just put them in the oven.
