SOUTHERN SPOON BREAD | |
4 c. self-rising flour 2 c. lukewarm water 1 pkg. dry yeast 1 egg 1/4 c. sugar 3/4 c. melted shortening Mix well in large bowl. Cover and put in refrigerator. Will keep for several days. Spoon batter into greased muffin tins. Bake immediately (do not wait for them to rise). Makes 3 dozen rolls. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. |
