PEAR CAKE 
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. canned pears, chopped
1 c. pecans, chopped

Beat oil, sugar and eggs together. Mix flour, salt, soda and cinnamon together. Add to egg mixture. Add vanilla. Fold in chopped pears and pecans. Grease and flour a 10 inch bundt pan. Spoon in batter. (Batter will be thick.) Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan 20 minutes, remove from pan and put on cake rack for complete cooling. Frost with a glaze.

P.S. I use the syrup from the pears as the liquid for the glaze.
