3 c. boiling water
2 c. oatmeal
1 c. butter
4 eggs, beaten
2 c. brown sugar
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt

Heat water to boiling. Add oatmeal and butter, stirring until melted. Cover, let stand 5 minutes. In a bowl beat eggs and gradually add brown sugar.

Mix flour, sugar, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; add egg mixture, then add oatmeal mixture. Pour into greased and floured 13x9 pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40-60 minutes.
