2/3 c. undiluted evaporated milk (1 - 5 oz. can)
1 2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. (16 about) diced marshmallows
1/2 c. chopped nuts (opt.)
1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 tsp. vanilla

Put evaporated milk, sugar and salt in saucepan and put on stove. Turn burner to low. Heat to boiling, stir often. Cook 5 minutes, stirring all the time so that the milk and sugar do not scorch. Remove saucepan from heat. Add marshmallows, chopped nuts, chocolate and vanilla. Stir fudge with a wooden spoon until marshmallow and chocolate are melted (about 1 minute). Pour fudge into a buttered 8 inch square pan. When the fudge is cool, cut into squares.
