BANANA PUDDING 
PUDDING:

2/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. whole milk
2 egg yolks
1 heaping tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
25 vanilla wafers
4-5 bananas

MERINGUE:

2 egg whites
Pinch of salt
1/8 tsp. vanilla

Mix the sugar and flour thoroughly in a saucepan. Add milk and stir well. Mix in the beaten egg yolks. Add butter and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly to blend all ingredients and prevent sticking. Remove from heat immediately after boiling point is reached and add vanilla. Cool.

In a baking dish arrange a layer of vanilla wafers, then a layer of mixture. Repeat this until all is used.

Make the meringue icing by beating the egg whites until stiff. Add salt and a little vanilla for flavoring and stir well. Spread on pudding and boil until the top is lightly browned. This won't take too long, so keep a sharp eye on the broiler. Serves 6.
