SWEDISH BUTTER COOKIE 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. milk
4 c. flour, divided
1 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

1 stick butter, melted
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. light Karo syrup
4 c. powdered sugar

Beat butter, then add sugar, milk, eggs and 2 cups of the flour with baking soda and baking powder. Add vanilla. Then mix in rest of flour. Chill one hour before rolling. Roll dough out to 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes, until they are a light golden color. Do not overbake. Combine all frosting ingredients until well blended. Food coloring may be added. Frost cookies.
