ORIENTAL STEWED CHICKEN | |
2 tbsp. soy sauce (reduced sodium) 1/2 tsp. chili powder 2 lg. cloves garlic, minced 1 broiler fryer (about 3 1/2 lb.) skinned & cut into serving pieces 3 scallions, cut in 1" sections, with green tops 1/2 c. chicken broth (reduced sodium) In a large Dutch oven, combine soy sauce, chili powder and garlic. Add chicken and scallions and stir to coat. Marinate chicken for 1 hour, turning several times. Add broth and bring ingredients to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover pan and simmer for 1 hour or until tender. Serve with rice or noodles. 6 servings. |
