3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream together shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, soda and salt. Roll into small balls and dip in sugar. Press cookie down with fork and bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes until light brown.
