CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BROWNIES 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
2/3 c. evaporated milk (1 sm. can)
1 bag caramels
3/4 c. softened butter, not melted
1 bag chocolate chips
Coconut, optional
Walnuts, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Unwrap caramels. Mix cake mix, butter, and 1/3 cup of evaporated milk. Grease cake pan with Pam.

Put approximately 1/2 of above mix into pan and cook for 8 minutes. Remove from oven; pour desired amount of chocolate chips on top of cake.

Put bag of caramels and remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk into microwave bowl and melt until stirs creamy (approximately 2 minutes). Pour caramel mixture over chocolate chips on cake.

Put remaining cake mix on top (may want to add a little milk to remaining cake mix to make it easier to spread on top). Bake for 20 minutes. Let cool for 30 minutes before cutting. Cut into small squares.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
