PEPPERS STUFFED WITH MACARONI &
HAM
 
6 lg. green peppers
2 1/2 c. cooked macaroni
1 1/2 c. chopped ham
1/2 c. cracker crumbs
1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese (mild)
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce mixed with 1/2 c. water

Cut peppers in half and remove stems and seeds. Boil 10 minutes in salted water. Drain and place in large, flat baking dish. Combine macaroni, ham and crumbs. Add half the cheese and half the tomato sauce-water mixture. Stir well and spoon into pepper halves. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and drizzle on the remaining tomato sauce and water mixture. Cover loosely with foil and bake 30 minutes, remove foil and bake 30 minutes longer.
