EGG-N-CHEESE STRATA 
3 tsp. butter, softened
6 slices day old bread
1 c. (4 oz.) cheese, shredded
6 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of pepper

Butter bread and cut in small cubes. Alternate layers of bread cubes and cheese in buttered 2 quart casserole dish. Blend together eggs, milk and seasonings. Pour egg mixture over bread-cheese mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until golden brown.
