BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 pkg. butterscotch morsels
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. sour milk

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add milk to sugar combination. Add flour, nuts and morsels. Will be a very stiff dough.

Make two rolls, wrap and chill. Cut into 1/2 inch pieces and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Or chill dough and form little balls and press flat. Bake as above. For a little contrast, add 1/2 cup chopped red cherries.
