BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES 
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
4 c. flour
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs (unbeaten) and vanilla. Put in dry ingredients and shape into loaf - freeze. Slice 1/4 inches thick and bake about 11 or 12 minutes.
