HAMBURGER CASSEROLE 
1 lb. hamburger
2 med. onions, sliced thin
2 to 3 carrots, sliced thin
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
2 to 3 potatoes, sliced thin
2 to 3 slices American cheese

Place hamburger in bottom of a 2-quart casserole; add salt and pepper; layer onions, potatoes and carrots almost to top of casserole. Lay cheese slices on top and pour soup over cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until vegetables are tender.
