50 caramels 2/3 c. evaporated milk 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 3/4 c. butter (melted) 1 c. nuts 1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips Combine caramels, 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Combine cake mix (dry), 1/3 cup evaporated milk and butter. Mix until dough holds together. Stir in nuts. Press 1/2 of the dough in greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle chocolate chips and pour caramel mixture over the chocolate chips. Crumble remaining cake mixture over caramels and bake 15 to 18 minutes. Cool for 30 minutes. Cut into bars. |
