1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice 2 c. sugar 2 c. flour 2 eggs 2 sticks butter, softened 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped walnuts 1 c. chocolate chips Cream eggs, vanilla, butter, and sugar. Mix well. Add flour and baking soda. Mix. Add pineapple. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Pour into a 13 x 9 inch greased and floured pan. Bake 35-45 minutes. When completely cool, frost with cream cheese frosting. CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 stick butter 1 1/3 c. confectioners sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Beat all ingredients until creamy. Cake tastes best when refrigerated overnight. |
