ONION-CHEESE BREAD | |
1 (1 lb.) loaf frozen bread dough 1 c. Cheddar cheese, finely grated 3 green onions, finely chopped 1 tbsp. poppy seeds 1 tbsp. butter, melted Allow dough to thaw, make 3 lengthwise cuts, almost through. Mix cheese, onions and poppy seeds and put 1/3 of the mixture in each of the 3 cuts. Press dough to reform loaf. Place into lightly greased loaf pan. Brush top with melted butter. Let rise and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Remove bread to rack immediately. Let cool 10-15 minutes before serving. Serves 4-6, depending on size of slices. |
