APPLE STRUDEL 
CRUST:

4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
Dash of cinnamon

FILLING:

6 c. apples, cored, peeled & sliced
Raisins
Butter
1/2 c. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
2 slices white bread, crusts removed

Mix all 6 ingredients for crust. Line 9"x13"x2" pan with crust, keeping 1/4 aside for top crust. (Roll as you would a pie crust.)

Place 1 layer of apples on crust. Sprinkle with 1/2 mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Tear up 1 slice of white bread and sprinkle over apples. Sprinkle raisins and dot with butter. Repeat steps beginning with apples.
