CHICKEN CASSEROLE | |
1 chicken, whole 1 pkg. egg noodles, slender 1 can cream of chicken soup 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 (8 oz.) sour cream 1 stick butter 4-7 slices of bread Boil chicken and debone it. Cook egg noodles in the chicken broth; but don't let boil dry! Add to cooked noodles, 2 cans of soup and sour cream and add chicken, salt and pepper. Pour into casserole dish (large), cut up bread into cubes and place on top. Melt 1 stick of butter and pour over top. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes. (This freezes well, but don't put bread or butter on top until half cooked if you freeze it.) |
